kidding, but can we talk about how just when some good things start getting going, we have some raving lunatics still trying to ruin it?
speaking of raving, the internet is having some fun with the public markets and some people are actually getting rich from it. i don’t fully understand everything that’s going on with gamestop, but i work with someone who explains things quite well.
my takeaway is that people are not only bored during the pandemic, but they’ve fully realized that the establishment is not set up to help them, the people. now they’re seeking revenge. and i can’t blame them. stimulus checks are anemic, if existing at all, and the job market is weird as is everything else during the pandemic. why should certain elitist wall street people make all of the money?
meanwhile, the real terrorists (some of our members in congress) continue to rant and rave without a consequence to speak of.
if we can’t hold our own government accountable for their words and actions, how are we going to tell a bunch of angry internet nerds how to trade stocks?
be kind, rewind.
